Tutoring Pricing

Hourly Individual Tutoring

I charge $50 per hour for in person private tutoring. We will always meet somewhere on campus, usually in a conference of the chemistry building. The tutoring structure can vary based on your goal

  • Do you just want to pass the class? We will target tips for approaching questions and focus on problems or exams

  • Do you want to actually understand what’s going on? We can spend time discussing concepts and filling in gaps where you are confused.

  • Do you want to go review concepts and work problems? We can tackle the important concepts and do practice along the way.]

At the end of the day, it’s up to you. I’ll do everything I can to help you out and I’ll provide you with all the guidance I have!

Hourly Group Tutoring

For groups of 2 or more, I charge $35 an hour. Group tutoring can be great if you want to just work on problems and prepare for exams. However, it is always best to schedule individual tutoring if you need help fully understanding things beyond just practice problems.

Homework/question help

If you’ve already had private tutoring with me at any point, you are welcome to send me questions and I’ll work those out for free. However, if you don’t need usual tutoring and just want me to send a video working out a problem or just want the solution worked out on a sheet of paper outside of actual tutoring, I can do that for $10 per question.

Tutoring is typically done after 5pm Monday to Thursday, or between 12pm and 5pm on Sunday at the Chemistry Building on Campus

  • Chase was the best lab TA I ever had. He wants to see all his students succeed and is always available outside of class for questions and tutoring in general. He is very knowledgeable and will help complex content seem much more manageable, if you can take him, try!!

  • Chase is the best GTA you could ask for. He is over-qualified, hilarious, always there to listen to you vent about school, available for extra help in Organic Chemistry, and runs the lab efficiently. I hope I am lucky to have him as my GTA in Organic Chemistry II Lab because you will not get a better one. It is a privilege to have Chase.

  • If you need to take Chem 2071, try to take Chase. Hands down one of auburn's best lab TA's you will ever have.

  • Chase is probably the best OChem lab TA. He is funny, laidback, and truly cares for his students in his section. He doesn't grade lab reports very hard and as long as you write your reports following the instructions he sends out in an email each week, you will get an A. He also offers tutoring sessions which is very nice.

  • Its Chase. Take Chase. Hes good.

  • I had him for 2071 and 2081, the best chem TA hands down and I'd argue the best TA at Auburn. He makes it feel less like it's just a job for him and more like he actually cares about his students. Also, he is an easy grader and doesn't care how comparatively good your reports are, just that you are learning and improving.

  • Chase has been my favorite GTA so far. He clearly tells you what he expects out of you, but he encourages you to do the amount of work needed for the class; In My first lab report, he told me I put in too much effort for a 1 hour credit. He keeps it real, and he is super willing to help you with problems from O Chem lecture.

  • Chase is a GTA that actually cares about you as an individual. His lab is super easy and he explains it to you before you actually conduct the experiment so that you have a general understanding of the subject. I will never be taking O-Chem ever again in my life, but I would definitely take Chase again!

  • Chase is the best GTA I have ever had for any lab or class in college. He gives you great feedback on lab reports and always tries to make the lab as fun as possible. He answers any questions about the lab or the regular organic chemistry class and is super nice and caring in general about anything. I would take him for every lab if I could.

  • I just finished my second semester with Chase as my 2071 and 2081 lab GTA. He is amazing!!! He is so caring and has such a good attitude all of the time. He is so invested in everyone and explains chemistry and the experiments in a way that is much easier to understand. If you can, take chase! He will make your life 100x easier.

  • Chase is by far the best lab TA at Auburn University. He cares for each and every one of his students so deeply and genuinely does whatever he can to help you succeed. He is hilarious and makes 3 hour labs actually enjoyable. He also holds review sessions to help students understand and go over lecture class material which is actually so amazing.

  • Chase is the BEST GTA I have ever had at Auburn-he explains processes and how they relate to lectures thoroughly & in ways for non-chem majors to easily understand. He truly cares about students & goes out of his way to make sure you do experiments/reports correctly. He would be an amazing professor--so jealous of his future students!!

  • He's not technically a professor but is the best GTA you will ever have for a CHEM 2071 lab. He's helpful and actually wants to be there. He loves being a TA and wants everyone to succeed.
